My 29th birthday

by crazyrainbowblondie @ 26.02.2008 - 22:01:10

I had a lovely day today. I feel really lucky!

The children at nursery sang happy birthday, and so did the children at becky and sarahs after school club! so in total i have had about 60 children singing for me! aww i feel blessed! its that becky, she tells everyone everything!

got some lovely presents too, slobbed out massively after work and had a takeaway so that was yummy.

but the best of it has been the fact that my boss called me into the office this afternoon and told me she was giving me a payrise! and not just a little measly 50p this time; no....a whole two pounds an hour more!! so now i am officially on a graduate salary! but just below the threshold for paying my student loan off, which is also a bonus.

she really wants to keep me i think!

its the recognition more than the actual money as i think once i declare this to the inland revenue they will probably lower my child tax credits...but hey its a start....

thankyou to everyone for the birthday wishes!

A x

Hey nice pay rise :) I know exactly what you mean about it being more the recognition over the £ value.

But the cash is nice too yes? LOL

Glad your birthday was so sugar coated, that would have made me cry :) Kids are great for stuff like that.
